Practical, real-food recipes for people who actually have to cook dinner tonight.
Make Healthy started as a shared spreadsheet of recipes three home cooks kept passing back and forth after getting tired of recipe sites that buried a simple dinner under a thousand words of unrelated life story. We wanted a place where the ingredients, the steps, and the actual nutrition numbers came first, and where a recipe that claimed to be "healthy" had to show its work.
Today Make Healthy is operated by MAKEHELLO LLC, a small team based in Florida. We write, test, and photograph every recipe in our own kitchens before it goes on the site, and we log calories, protein, fat, and fiber for each one so you can plan a week of meals without guessing. 50% of the recipe library is free to browse and cook from at no cost, and Make Healthy Plus members get access to the rest along with new recipes as we publish them.
We also run a small shop of kitchen tools we genuinely use ourselves - the pans, knives, and gadgets that make cooking from scratch easier on a weeknight. Nothing in the store is there because a sponsor paid for the placement; it is there because it earned a spot in our own kitchens first.
Laura started Make Healthy from her small kitchen in Saint Johns, Florida after years of working as a line cook and caterer. She now leads the recipe development team, testing every dish at least a dozen times before it goes live on the site. Outside the kitchen she is training for her first half marathon and swears by a big bowl of overnight oats before every run.
Priya is a licensed registered dietitian with a background in clinical nutrition counseling before joining Make Healthy full time. She reviews every recipe on the site for nutritional accuracy and writes the nutrition breakdowns that appear alongside each dish. When she is not fact-checking macros, she is teaching her two kids how to read food labels at the grocery store.
Marcus spent a decade shooting for local restaurants and farmers markets across northeast Florida before bringing his camera to Make Healthy full time. He shoots and styles nearly every photo and video on the site, and built the small home studio the team still uses today. He is a self-described props hoarder and never says no to a good vintage cutting board.
